Okay, maybe not many people think of Ireland as "paradise," but Americans still need a passport to get there!
Al and I will be going to Ireland on our honeymoon--June 11 through the 22nd. In preparation of this, I decided to go to the post office today to get a passport. I've had one before, but I got it when I was seventeen--still a minor--so it expired after five years. I just assumed that I'd have to pay for a new one. But I was in luck. My old passport was issued on January 28, 1992 (okay, I've just dated myself) and apparently the deadline for renewing a passport is fifteen years. The postal worker noticed this, and saved me $30 and (possibly) a couple of weeks!
As the wedding draws closer, I'm getting more and more excited, and this is just one step closer to being ready! Ireland, here we come!
